Final
year project of my degree looking at re-thinking from an outside
perspective how the beach-casting reel formula could be changed
to produce an easier to use design with improved performance. The
reel included a novel way of removing the spool with a split cage
design. The gearing and size/shape of reel was optimised for retrieving
power, casting performance and ergonomic balance.
